Permanently Affordable Homes - How?

GLP is working with CDS Co-operatives Ltd which will develop and build the homes to a quality environmental and social design. CDS Co-operatives will keep the homes affordable by setting up a Mutual Home Ownership Society. Members gain the right to occupy their homes by paying a deposit of 5%, paying 35% of their net income in mortgage interest. They can build equity by paying more. The land on which the homes stand will be leased from GLP and kept off the market - thus keeping the homes forever affordable.
